Your Tasks:

As our General Manager* you are mainly responsible for all matters concerning our hotel Holiday Inn Barcelona - Sant Cugat. This results in the following main tasks:

  • you are responsible for the management of our first hotel in Spain under consideration of the legal basics and conditions in Spain (employees, contracts, suppliers, fire/life/safety rules etc).
  • travel to Hamburg as needed as well as for familiarization with our franchise operations.
  • show presence with guests as well as employees.
  • adopt innovative recruiting methods.
  • continuous training of our employees.
  • complaint management.
  • regular checks in the hotels for technical defects, cleanliness & hygiene.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting.
  • regular reporting to the Cluster General Manager and Director of Operations.
  • cooperation with the Cluster General Manager & Head Office in Hamburg, among others with the departments HR, Accounting and Revenue.

We are looking for a new colleague* who keeps the overall view, promotes communication within the departments and brings innovative ideas to optimize the operational departments.

For us, however, it is also a matter of course that he rolls up his sleeves when necessary and supports his colleagues in operations.

 
Your Personality:

The character of our new General Manager* is based on cosmopolitanism, eloquence and a passion for hospitality.

several years of experience as a general manager • welcome mentality • empathy • intercultural competence • training experience • leadership quality • commitment • understanding of numbers • assertiveness • fluent English & Spanish, German knowledge is an advantage • IHG experience
